Founding Principles
When founding the school, Professor Juen
Sato adopted the expression gShu, Shi, Shinh
from the Nichiren treatise Kaimokusho as the philosophy for the
institution.
At Mejiro Gakuen this expression is honored in the following ways.
First, as a rational Japanese,
love your country and become a responsible citizen and member
of society.
Second, maintain a spirit of love and respect
toward the people who lead you toward the truth and
at all times cultivate an attitude of learning in a spirit of
humility.
Third, value the home as the place where people
love and nurture one another,
and understand and put into practice the nobility of family love
and human love in general.
