Mejiro
University
*Japanese examination required for entrance into
all undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The school got its start in 1923 when, at their
own expense, Professor Juen Sato and his wife, Fuyu, founded Kenshin
Gakuen in Tokyo's Mejirodai for the purposes of developing citizens
who could make a valuable contribution to society. During the
over 80 years since its establishment, Mejiro Gakuen has sent
more than 60,000 graduates out into the world, and currently about
4,000 students matriculate every year.
The name Mejiro University was taken from the Mejiro Plateau where
the school was founded. Located atop a verdant hill and known
as one of Tokyo's most prestigious residential districts, Mejiro
is an area steeped in history and culture.
